When I photographed for this little guy it was 4 months ago and cannot believe how fast they grow. A family very near and dear to my heart and couldn’t be happier for them as they enjoy so many firsts with little Freddie.
8/18 Newborn session
I love hearing my parents talk about life when we were tiny and too small to remember. An even bigger bonus is having images to see those awesome details like tiny puffy snowsuits for sledding and also sweet moments like being snuggled up asleep on the couch with mom. Even though I don’t have a recollection of those days, my heart is still full because each images is a beautiful visual of the love and care of my sweet parents.
During this season in the Blocker family household, they were just welcoming home a beautiful baby girl, and their family dynamic was shifting to life as a family of four. Very thankful for the amazing opportunity of photographing their family during this season, and also honored by what these images will mean in the future as they only grow more precious with time.
Enjoy a selection of my favorites from a day with my dear friends, the Blocker family.
Today is the first of a series of posts about my experience in Malawi, Africa with non-profit organization called Kingdom Workers. Our mission was to learn, encourage, share, better understand the disability ministry program in Malawi, worship with those in the village, and finally sing our praises with 500 children at Bible school, teaching them songs in English. Beyond that goes prayer, personal growth, and shaking up how I think about many things.
Today is a letter to the children that have left the biggest impact on my heart. Each child is paired with a volunteer for their disability ministry. I think of each one of them often and am so honored to have met them.
Dear Isabella, Happiness, Emma,Toca, Neduzanyani, Chifuniro,
I would like to thank all that made this incredible session possible. First off the weather for cooperating, second to the leaves for holding on for dear life, and most importantly to my favorite/only brother and the most beautiful girl he could ever be so blessed with to call his fiance, Jayde, none of this would have be possible without you.
I knew my brother would be proud if I added a little flair/goofiness so I decided to give him my very best Oscar winner version of a post. All joking aside, it was such an honor to photograph you both with all your excitement, love, and genuineness it truly outshines the leaves, sunshine, and all.
Congratulations you two! Blessings on all the adventures to come. Enjoy!
