The purpose of every session..

The purpose of every session is not to be like any other session. I always strive to create each session around the individual or family I am photographing. When the session is shaped around the personalities and interests of a person there is no way of replicating a session, which I love!

Portrait Project: Mia painting

Some projects you plan and plan while others you never even see coming. My biggest take away from this project was just being ready and willing to go in and tell the story before you.

I never thought about capturing a piece of my sister’s college experience, but I did and I loved it! A fun twist on portraiture called an environmental portrait to include her artistic side of her college experience. Mia is so very talented and it was so much fun to spend this time with her.

This week not only marks my sister finishing her first year of college but also we get to celebrate my brother graduating from Bethany Lutheran College. Very proud of both of them and can’t wait to see all that life has in store for them.

My favorite sister

One of my favorites of my gorgeous sister; love her so much! She never hesitates to let you know how much she cares and also never wants anyone to leave as her hugs last about 5 minutes… no joke. But alas my baby sister is growing up! Excited to capture her beautiful self for senior pictures this summer as she rocks her short hair!! Short hair!! Can you believe it!

Confession: When I first met Hai, the statement “Hi Hai” actually came out of my mouth. Enjoy this fun session with the energetic, soccer loving, conversationalist Hai at the very beautiful Seven Mile Creek Park.

Meet Katy,

This girl always has a smile and a lot of excitement to share. When you meet her anywhere, your day automatically gets happier. Her last name may be Faugstad now, but come December that is all going to change, and I am so excited for this girl and can’t wait to see where God takes her.

This photoshoot actually accumulated in pieces starting with a trip to a grocery store leading to a prop and ending with a sunny/ chilly afternoon with a wonderful individual that I have the privilege to call both family and friend. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity Katy and for the rest of y’all, enjoy!
