Life lessons - Grandma edition

Hello Friend!Today's blog starts with a quick story. My grandma is incredible with plants like mastery level plant lady. She keeps everything alive and saves every sprout for it to start growing in a cup. I’m full of questions when I visit because I love flowers and hope to pick up on some of her knowledge on keeping my poor plants alive.

The gift is all her own, but what I did take away is if you truly care about something it requires time, patience, and energy to nurture it and someday if you are lucky it becomes instinct.  My grandma can't simply walk by a plant or garden she will literally start weeding it, even if it's not her own. My grandma's passion for gardening is something deep and now engrained that extends beyond a hobby.

For me it's not a list of goals that I wish to obtain for this next year, but I wish to take that passion that my grandma subconsciously shows and place that in things that matter in my life. To not simply walk by those gardens filled with weeds but to patiently care for them and nurture them daily.Wishing you a blessed Christmas season and happy New Year!-Sophia
